You can still buy update for the regular MS908 in the USA for about$600-$700 but be aware that it is no longer being produced and the 32 gb internal memory is now insufficient to process all the updates without having to add a SD card. Also if the Serial number of the unit is not one that is in the database as one sold by any authorized dealer of your geographic area, you will likely have to ship it to mainland China for any necessary repairs.  Being that you can still find  new unsold units for about $1700, it doesn't make any sense what so ever to buy used and then purchase an update unless you can buy a perfectly working very early edition used one from around 2013 with the factory logos and the original Un-Optimized contested copied OE software on it  for less than $500 from a buddy you know that never updated it , and just leave it as is for the software  functionality of older car models that might not be as good after you update it with the newer Optimized post court approved software versions.
